Tips on Caring for your Make-Up Brushes:
- Unpopular Opinion: Wash your make-up brushes before you use them. Practicing good hygiene is incredibly important for your skin and to avoid any breakouts, you should take a few minutes to do a quick, but thorough, cleanse of your brushes. All of The Mink Link NYC brushes are sterilized before being sent to the customer so this is optional with us. We also offer a Silicone Brush Cleaning Mat that is super affordable and makes this process easier. I like to use a diluted mixture of my face cleanser or dish washing soap and warm water to clean my brushes.
- Make-Up brushes are important in your routine, keep them safe by storing them properly. Have a carrying pouch, case, or bag that you can store your brushes in. We have a few really cute options right here on the site!
- Try to clean your brushes at least once a week and wash your brushes every 4 to 6 weeks. This means cleaning off the bristles once a week using a mesh pad or paper towel (this is a little more rough on the bristles, so be gentle!). Washing them means to use soap and water and give them a thorough cleaning.
- Lastly, enjoy your brushes fully, sis! Try out different looks, step out of your comfort zone, and show up & OUT!
